Tip of the Day - Bid Tracker

One of the simplest ways to keep track of a bid is with an excel spreadsheet.  This allows you to keep track of all you need to on one simple tab; it is not worth the time or effort making it overly complicated.

The best way I have found has been to have each questions with its own row, then each column checking stages of progress against questions. For example the columns could be Plan, First Draft, Second Draft, Evaluated, and Finished. There would also be space to track what attachment are needed for each question, as well as general comments.

One of the most satisfying things about this method, is that you can see how much progress you are making as you go along. There is a real sense of achievement when you notice you have less to do than you previously thought you did (and vice versa!).
